I don't believe we will see nationwide housing price drops like you are seeing in the United States. I'm positive you will see market slow downs in some areas of Canada but I don't think we will see a true crash like is happening right across the USA.

If housing prices drop 10% in one year in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver then this country is headed into some big problems.

The opinion that a housing crash is coming is a popular one and why shouldn't it be - economists are all over it. And we all know economists (especially ones you read in the newspaper) are never wrong, they've successfully predicted the last 16 out of 2 recessions.

This is very interesting opinion and I am surprised that there is no fiery discussion on it yet. I came over your article by chance and I must tell you that this is the first opinion where is stated that the housing crash is not coming in Canada. I work as a <a href="......"realtor in Toronto"</a> and I notice very similar situation as in the US. However, there are also other attributes that must be observed to determine if a bubble or financial mania exists. Like a real bubble, it is only a matter of time before a financial bubble pops.
