100 Things

My friend Kirsi used to have a blog before people called them blogs. I think it was called an online journal or Web journal or something like that.

Anyhow, now she has a young child and isn’t writing on the Web a whole lot.

At one point she had a post called 100 things and it was 100 things about her. I always liked that so I’ve decided to do my own 100 things over the next year or so and I’m going to break it up into two categories: 100 Things for people who know me and 100 Things for people who don’t know me that well. I’ll divide the posts into 10 things at a time.

This will give me lots of editorial content for those weeks when I’m lacking for content.

So – Part 1. 100 Things (for people who don’t know me that well).

  • I love love love chocolate milk
  • I grew up in Scarborough, Canada and truly love it here
  • If I won $1 million dollars I would invest it in real estate and keep my awesome job
  • If I won $5 million dollars I would invest it in real estate and keep my awesome job and put in place my five year exit strategy for retirement
  • I got kicked out of my house when I was 20 and in college (my parents and I get along really well now)
  • I have never taken a controlled substance – not even pot
  • Self-control plays a big part in me not stopping for every Dairy Queen (for a blizzard), Wendy’s (for a Baconator … did you know for $.30 you can get extra bacon?) or any convenience store for a butter tart
  • One of my best friends I have known since grade three
  • I’ve traveled through Scotland, England, France and Ireland on my own
  • My first car was a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon that I miss very much despite it only having 140 horsepower

Okay, so there you have Part 1 for those of you who don’t know me that well. Tomorrow I’ll post Part 1 for those who do know me really well.
